The FPT NEF 67 6.7-litre, 6-cylinder turbo intercooled engine with power rating up to 175 hp meets Stage V/Tier 4 Final emissions regulations. With up to 700 Nm torque at 1400 rpm, the engine of the X6.6 improves traction and reduces fuel consumption by 10%. A 280-litre fuel tank ensures many hours of uninterrupted operation. The tilt-up bonnet makes daily maintenance checks quick and easy.

The Xtrashift transmission with six powershift speeds (H-M-L) and three ranges provides 54 FWD and 18 REV gears. The de-clutch function and the power shuttle allow the opera[1]tor to easily shift through all gears and change from forward to reverse without clutching. A creeper with 105 FWD and 36 REV gears ensures speeds as low as 350 m/h.

The Premiere four-post cab with opening roof hatch and the forward-sloping bonnet provide unobstructed all-round visibility. The operator works in comfort with intuitive ergonomic controls, an air suspension seat, a telescopic steering wheel, and an efficient air conditioning system. Ten halogen work lights, six of which on the cab, provide powerful illumination for night work.

The closed-centre hydraulic system with variable-displacement pump has a total flow of 148 l/min and operates up to five mechanical remotes, an electronic rear hitch with 8400 kg lift capacity and a two-speed PTO with 540/1000 rpm. An electro-hydraulically operated wet multidisc clutch enables smooth and modulated PTO engagement.
