With an international focus and high performance, technology and innovation as its mission, McCormick will be on show at Agritechnica 2017 with a full compliment of tractors, from the high-powered X8 to the revamped Heavy, Medium and Light Utility ranges.

McCormick X8: the focal point with exceptional performance, cutting-edge technological features and an aggressive look, the three models in the series are equipped with 6-cylinder Betapower Fuel Efficiency Tier4 final engines which are iso-mounted in a cast frame, with 264 HP, 286 HP and 310 HP power ratings, and four-stage continuously variable VT Drive transmission. Ground speeds are 40 km/h ECO at 1,300 rpm engine speed and 50 km/h ECO at 1,600 rpm.

The high-level technology proposed by the McCormick X8 tractors is underscored by the certified ISOBUS system, a standard feature that handles the operation of compatible implements thanks to a dedicated menu in the 12” touch screen monitor (DSM).

EazySteer and Precision Steering Management systems are available for precision agriculture (PA) requirements.

The powerful closed-center hydraulic circuit has a 157 l/min load sensing pump as standard(a 216 l/min oversized pump is available as an optional) and can handle up to eleven electrohydraulically controlled control valves (6 rear) with 140 l/min flow rate. The electronically controlled rear hitch provides to up 12,000 kg lift capacity while the front hitch, which also comes as standard, has 5,000 kg lift capacity with the optional 1,000 rpm front PTO.

An electrohydraulically engaged three-speed 540E/1000E/1000 rear PTO is part of the standard equipment.

The front axle has an electronically controlled parallelogram suspension system and oil-immersed disc brakes for the utmost safety and driving comfort.

The four-pillar cab provides excellent visibility and is a particularly important feature. It comes equipped with automatic air conditioning, anti-damping semi-active suspension system, air suspension seat, fold-away instructor's seat, adjustable multi-function armrest, Bluetooth radio system and generously sized refrigerator compartment.

McCormick X7.6 Tier 4 Final: equipped with new 6-cylinder Betapower Fuel Efficiency Tier 4 Final engines, this series features a 2,820 mm standardized wheelbase. There are five models: X7.650, X7.660, X7.670, X7.680 and X7.690 with 150 HP to 226 HP power ratings. It is also equipped with an engine brake pedal to make driving smoother during transport work. It increases braking performance by acting on the exhaust gases.

The range is available with either VT-Drive (continuously variable transmission up to 195 HP) or the new P6-Drive (Powershift transmission up to 226 HP).

The P6-Drive transmission includes five robotically-activated ranges and comes with as standard, six Powershift speed gears governed by a dedicated electronic controller.

Once the operator has chosen the engine speed, the Smart APS (Smart Autopowershift) system allows the P6-Drive transmission to automatically select the most suitable range and speed gear. Another new feature is the Stop&Action system which integrates the declutch function into the brake pedal, allowing the P6-Drive transmission to provide a smoother ride comparable to that of the VT-Drive.

Increased to 160 l/min,  the flow rate received by the 9,300 kg capacity rear hitch and the control valves, these ones available up to seven.

In addition to the exclusive Premium versions with their high-level specifications, there are Efficient models which share the same top quality transmissions and engines but come in with entry level features.

Governed by the Data Screen Manager (DSM) system, the software has also been upgraded and now includes additional functions: a rear view camera to improve visibility over implements hitched behind the tractor and provide more information in the transport mode, advanced headland management functions and additional information from the tractor's onboard computer.

A new Semi-Active Cab Suspension with electronic controller able to modify shock absorber firmness to suit changing terrain conditions has been introduced to enhance operator comfort to an even greater extent and improve the quality of life and working conditions in the vehicle.

McCormick X 7.4 Tier 4 Final: world preview for the models with 4-cylinder engines, now in the Tier 4 Final version with 147 HP, 160 HP and 176 HP power ratings and characteristics conforming to European Mother Regulation standards.

Features that have been maintained include the structural engine, which determines the tractor's narrow wheelbase (2,600 mm) all to the advantage of the machine's excellent ease of handling, and the SCR aftertreatment system with DOC catalyst.

The transmission is available in both the VT-Drive continuously variable version and the P6-Drive version with 6 Powershift speed gears and 5 robotically-activated ranges: a creeper providing 54 speed gears on load completes the proposal. The gearshift is electronically controlled by means of the multi-function armrest and has the APS (Auto Powershift) function in all ranges. The electrohydraulically engaged four-speed 540/540E/1000/1000E rear PTO is part of the standard equipment. Electronic engagement always ensures that implements start up gradually, adding to ease of use and preserving both the tractor and the implements themselves. The improved hydraulic circuit with 160 l/min flow rate (available as an option) allows several hydraulic implements to be used at the same time.

The cab can be fitted with the optional Semi-Active Cab Suspension for an even higher level of comfort at work.

McCormick X6.4 Tier 4 Final: available in 3 models featuring 121 HP, 133 HP and 140 HP power ratings, 4-cylinder 4,500 cc Betapower Fuel Efficiency emissionized Tier 4Final engines with SCR exhaust gas aftertreatment system and different types of transmission: the VT-Drive 3-stage continuously variable transmission manufactured by Agro Tractors and Powershift with 3 speed gears on load (48 + 16 with Creeper).

The range has an automatically engaged 4-speed electrohydraulic PTO, 5,400 kg capacity rear hitch and an optional 110 l/min closed-center hydraulic circuit.

Comfort during field and transport work is assured by the front axle with independent wishbone suspensions and the mechanical cab suspension system, available as optionals. The cab features the highest standards in terms of ergonomics, quiet running and all-round visibility, and is consistent with products in the highest range.

A multi-function armrest and 12” DSM touchscreen monitor ensure full control over the VT-Drive functions.

McCormick X6.4 weighs 5,200 kg with 8,500 kg maximum permissible mass and 2.54 m wheelbase. Fitted with 34” and 38 tyres, it is the ideal heavy duty Utility tractor, also in combination with the front hitch and front loader.

McCormick X4: ideal for haymaking, this sturdily built, functional and compact range features Deutz Tier 4 Final engines. The mechanical transmission has 4 speed gears and 3 ranges (there's also an optional 300 m/h creeper), while the proposal includes an electrohydraulic reverse shuttle in addition to the optional Underdrive, which brings the total number of speeds to 32+32.

X4 is equipped with electrohydraulically controlled 4WD engagement, 2-speed synchronized and independent PTO, 49 l/min open-center hydraulic circuit to supply the control valves (up to 3 optional rear valves) in addition to the 2 front control valves piloted via Joystick and a rear hitch with 3,400 kg maximum lift capacity.

To speed up and facilitate lifting/lowering operations, the hitch can be controlled by the Ergonomic Lift System (ELS) available on request.

The standard cab provides tip-top comfort thanks to the flat platform and controls arranged in carefully researched ergonomic positions.

The range is type-approved according to Mother Regulation standards: electrohydraulic PTO, braking system with additional disc, new hydraulic trailer braking system.
