Argo S.p.A.’s Newest Tractor Factory Begins Operations As Tractors Roll Off The Assembly Line

Contagem (MG), Brazil, June 16, 2015 – On Thursday, June 18, 2015, Argo S.p.A. held an inauguration ceremony to celebrate the start of operations at its newest assembly plant in Contagem (MG), Brazil.

The first operational phase of the investment includes assembly of two platforms of high performance agricultural tractors, between 100 and 200 horsepower.  Initial production will be of Landini brand tractors destined for the Latin America market.The traditional brand from Argo, with its presence in the world market for over 130 years, received VIP guests from all over, including distributors, providers and local authorities, for a celebration event of the inauguration of its operations at the Contagem (MG) plant.

This new plant has been in the works for many years, and represents a massive investment by Argo.  The added production of tractors will increase its global presence in the agricultural equipement industry and help to meet the demands of markets everywhere.  Over the next 5 years, this new factory is expected to steadily increase its range of product offerings, as well as increase overall production volumes.
