September has been a very busy month for McCormick North America! We travelled all around to attend Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois, Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island, Nebraska, The Ohio Farm Science Review in London, Ohio, and Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show in London, Ontario. And we were very thankful to have great weather and an even better turnout at each!
Farm Progress Show – September 1-3, Decatur, IL
McCormick North America started farm show season on the right foot with Farm Progress Show! With a corner lot right by one of the entrances, we were able to showcase our tractors to a large number of people. Inside our tent we had a hand made bar made by McCormick’s very own Corby Sherry out of wood and tin from his grandfather’s old barn where he used to house McCormick tractors. Outside the tent on our lot, we displayed 9 tractors representing our full line. For the first time at Farm Progress we were able to show our X1.45 cab model with hydrostatic transmission, and our X5, X6, and X6L Series tractors which definitely made a great first impression on attendees!
Husker Harvest Days – September 15-17, Grand Island, NE
Another successful Husker Harvest Days was checked off for McCormick North America this month! Eight of our new tractor models were on display for the crowds of people that came to our booth. We enjoyed answering questions from interested customers, as well as hearing great feedback from current tractor owners that came by just to express how pleased they are with their McCormick tractors. We were pleased to have the support of several salesmen from local McCormick dealerships including Thoene Farm Service, Miler Repair, and C&D Service join us at the show as well to showcase the tractors and to meet with all of the current and potential customers that came by. It was an all-around great show!
Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show – September 15-17, Ontario, Canada
We had a great show at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show with both McCormick and Landini tractors on display. Attendees were able to see a great range of tractors that represented us well, including the popular specialty line of tractors designed to work in specific applications such as orchards and vineyards. It was another successful show for McCormick NA!
Ohio Farm Science Review – September 22-24, London, Ohio
McCormick finished off September’s busy schedule with the Ohio Farm Science Review, and it was the biggest of all! We had 11 tractors on the lot ranging from 47-225 horsepower. The entire line-up was represented, showing both open station and cab options. There was a tractor on display for every operation! With a prime location and such a pronounced display, McCormick definitely drew a crowd. We were happy to have John from D & J Farm Equipment in Cadiz, OH, join us at the booth. John introduced us to current and future McCormick customers, and let us hear their testimonies about our products. We met some great people and life-long McCormick owners. It was truly an awesome show!
Sunbelt Ag Expo – October 20-22, Moultrie, Georgia
The 2015 show season was wrapped up in October with the Sunbelt Ag Expo in South Georgia. With over 1,200 exhibitors on the 100 acre show property, Sunbelt was the place to be! We had attendees come from all surrounding states to see our tractors and to give testimonies about how pleased they are with their new tractor, and how McCormick is the best red tractor they’ve ever had.
McCormick had 10 tractors in our booth representing our full Ag line, as well as an X6L in the FAE booth for representation with their forestry mulching equipment.
If you made your way over to the demo fields, you could see a McCormick X7.680 and a TTX230 being used in the hay demos with a Krone Big Pack baler and the new Krone EC-TC mower. The demos went great every day and viewers were definitely impressed with our McCormick Tractors!
Farm shows have always been a great way for McCormick North America to showcase our newest and greatest products to current and potential customers, and we can safely say that the 2015 Farm Show Season has been checked off as a success!
