X tractor Around the World – 12 people and 4 McCormick tractors end their Australian Adventure

The first X tractor Around the World – Australian Edition has come to a successful conclusion. In 45 days, the tractor expedition covered over 8,500 kilometers across Australia. The journey began in Melbourne and ended in Ayers Rock, passing through the states of Victoria, New South Wales, the Northern Territories and Queensland. A first stage in a journey planned to continue around the world in the next editions.
X tractor Around the World: 12 people, 4 McCormick tractors (three X7 and one X6), 3 support vehicles, average distance covered per day 200 kilometers, 50% of the route off-road, top speed 45 km/h.
The expedition benefited from support provided by major sponsors namely BKT, CBM-MITA, Grammer, Hella, Petronas, Topcon and VGV. All were actively involved in the technical preparation of the vehicles and crew, as well as Viar Valvole and the banking group BNP Paribas. Special mention must go to McCormick's Australian importer Clark Equipment, for having provided men, means and resources throughout the adventure.
Since the beginning of September, the X tractor initiative and its powerful McCormick tractors have been entertaining visitors to the web and social networks: an exciting journey to discover our planet's immense and fragile beauty, with special focus on the many faces of agriculture, where extreme conditions are often part of daily life.
Perfect ingredients for a new reality-TV-show which is about to be produced by Identity. The show will revolve around the social responsibility of the technologies used in the agricultural sector, thus respect for the environment, operator safety, food production quality and sustainability.
For the very first time, Argo Tractors, a 100% Italian enterprise and European leader in technologies for agriculture, will be adopting a pioneering TV format to meet the global consumer audience.
