New X50m Tier 4 Interim

Developed as an evolution of the C-Max, the X50m tractor range comprises three models with power outputs from 85 to 102 hp: the 20, 30 and 40. They are powered by the new Perkins 854E-E34TA 3.4L, fourcylinder, turbo-aftercooled engines meeting the Tier 4 Interim emission standards. Based on cutting-edge technology, these engines feature a two-valve cylinder head and a common rail injection system and deliver outstanding performance in terms of power, torque and fuel economy. The mechanical transmission with four speeds in three ranges (12FWD+12REV) offers a steering-column synchro shuttle and can be equipped with a creep speed unit and/or an overdrive. The transmission provides a maximum speed of 30 km/h on the 2WD models and of 40 km/h on the 4WD models. In addition, the 4WD version can be optionally equipped with a 12/12 power shuttle transmission featuring a shuttle modulation control for adjustment of the power shuttle response. Besides new more-efficient engines, the X50m range also offers received a brand new look. The hood has been fully redesigned to reflect the new McCormick family styling and the cab interior has been refreshed to offer the operator higher levels of ergonomics and comfort. The X50m tractors come in both two- and four-wheel drive version with either a cab or an iso-mounted platform giving this range all the versatility to tackle a wide variety of farming tasks.

Perkins 854E-E34TA four-cylinder turbo-aftercooled engines

The X50m (Tier4i) tractors are powered by the new Perkins 854E-E34TA four-cylinder turbo-aftercooled engines with two-valve cylinder head and electronic common rail injection system that provide power outputs from 85 to 102 hp. These 3.4-liter engines utilize an innovative exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) in conjunction with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) to meet the Tier 4 Interim emission regulations. These units incorporate advanced technologies that improve tractor performance in terms of power, torque and fuel economy. Fully reshaped to reflect the new McCormick family style, the tilt-up hood opens wide to provide easy access to the engine compartment for routine service and maintenance.

SPEED FOUR

The X50m tractors feature a modular transmission (Speed Four) with four speeds in three ranges (12FWD+12REV) that provides a maximum speed of 30 km/h. This basic configuration is available only for the 2WD version and can be optionally equipped with a creep speed unit. On the 4WD version, the “Speed Four” transmission can be combined with an overdrive unit to provide 24 forward and 12 reverse gears and maximum speed of 40 km/h. With the creeper option, this configuration offers up to 36 forward and 12 reverse speeds. Conveniently located to the driver’s left under the steering wheel, the synchro shuttle lever allows for easy direction changes. The same lever is also used to engage the overdrive transmission. In addition, the 4WD models (40 km/h) can be optionally equipped with a 12/12 transmission with steering-column power shuttle. A shuttle modulation control allows adjustment of the power shuttle response. A Park Lock feature is supplied in conjunction with the power shuttle version for increased safety on sloping ground.

 
 

CAB WITH ALL-ROUND VISIBILITY AND ROOF HATCH FOR LOADER WORK

The “Deluxe” cab has received a refreshed interior giving the driver a brighter and more comfortable working environment, while still retaining the look and feel of the previous versions. The fully adjustable driving position can be optionally equipped with an air suspension seat and the new instrument panel tilts with the steering column, allowing the driver to constantly monitor the tractor operation. The interior features a sleek and modern design with automotive-grade fit and finish and ergonomically arranged controls.

 
 

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The new hydraulic system provides a maximum total flow of 82 l/min (lift + steering). The rugged mechanical power lift features a cat. 2 threepoint hitch with draft, position, mixed and float control which provides a maximum lift capacity of 4350 kg. The lift is equipped as standard with “Ergonomic Lift System” , a device enabling automatic raising and lowering of lower links. The system features four remote valves, of which two are controlled by a joystick and can be also used to operate a front loader, and two are controlled by levers  conveniently placed to the driver’s right
