X50 Series Tractors

Built as a successor to the McCormick T-Max range, the X50 tractor series is powered by a new generation of technologically advanced Perkins® engines. The 854E-E34TA 3.4 liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged and intercooled diesels feature a two-valve cylinder head and a common-rail direct fuel injection system. Using an innovative exhaust gas recirculation technology (EGR) which helps to reduce NOx emissions during combustion, the Perkins engines meet the Tier 4i emission regulations without the use of additional fluids. Based on cutting-edge technology, these engines deliver improved power and torque performance with reduced fuel consumption. The X50 Series comprises four models (X50.20, X50.30, X50.40, and X50.50) with power ratings from 85 to 113 hp. All models are available in both synchro shuttle and power shuttle versions. The modular and versatile basic gearbox (Speed Four) has four synchronized gears in three ranges offering 12 forward and 12 reverse speeds. The synchro shuttle version features a mechanical shuttle lever near the steering wheel, while the power shuttle version has an electro-hydaulic system with a simple lever switch near the steering wheel. The synchro shuttle transmission is offered as standard on the 2WD models with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears. With optional creeper speeds, this version provides 16 forward and 16 reverse gears. On the 4WD models, an overdrive is added to the basic transmission providing 24 forward and 12 reverse gears. The power shuttle transmission offers for the 2WD models the same features and options as the Synchro Shuttle configuration. On the 4WD models, the power shuttle is combined with a 3-speed power shift (H-M-L), thus providing 36 forward and 12 reverse gears. This version also can be optionally equipped with a creeper providing a total of 48 forward and 16 reverse speeds. All X50 tractors are equipped as standard with a mechanical rear 3-point hitch, except the power shuttle versions with cab.  These models features electronic control of the rear 3-point hitch. All models come with lower link draft sensing for simple, "automatic" operation. In addition to introducing new engines, the range has also been extensively restyled. The hood has been fully redesigned to sport the new family styling that will mark all future McCormick tractor ranges. The cab interior is also revamped to offer improved levels of ergonomics and operator comfort, making these tractors ideally suited for intensive field operations as well as for general utility work. The X50 tractors are also available in an iso-mounted platform version.
